Sappi European Printers of the Year Award 2010
Die 22. Auflage des SL Kalenders wurde am 29. Mai 2010 in Prag mit dem „Silver Award“ im Rahmen der Sappi European Printers of the Year Wettbewerbs prämiert.
Das Druckunternehmen Sommer Corporate Media Elanders, welches seit vielen Jahren den SL Kalender druckt, hatte den Kalender eingereicht. Unter insgesamt 2.000 Einsendungen aus 34 Ländern Europas und dem Mittleren Osten hat eine unabhängige Jury die besten Druckergebnisse gekürt. Sommer Corporate Media Elanders wurde für dessen Leistungen mit dem renommierten Druckpreis ausgezeichnet.
„Dieser Kalender besticht durch die wunderbare Umsetzung der Fotografie in den Druck, wie die Jury in ihrem offiziellen Bericht kommentiert und folgert weiter, „alles in allem ein wunderschöner Kalender mit dem ,Möchte ich haben‘ Effekt.“
Im Rahmen eines alljährlichen Wettbewerbs ehrt der weltgrößte Papierhersteller Sappi die besten Druckunternehmen in Europa und dem Mittleren Osten. Rund 300 Gäste aus der Industrie werden hierzu eingeladen. Dieses Jahr wurde das Event in Prag ausgerichtet.
Seit 1989 widmet sich René Staud der künstlerischen Inszenierung der legendären SL-Baureihe. René Staud stellt hohe Ansprüche an die Qualität jeder seiner fotografischen Werke. Handwerkliche Perfektion und die Liebe zum Detail, die seit Beginn auch im Druck des 14-seitigen Kalenders widergespiegelt wird.
Sappi European Printers of the Year Award 2010
The 22nd edition of the SL calendar was awarded the “SILVER Award” at the Sappi “European Printers of the Year” competition on 29th of May in Prague.
The printing company Sommer Corporate Media Elanders, which has printed the calendar for many years, presented the SL Calendar at the competition. An independent jury selected the best printing results from among more than 2,000 submissions from more than 34 countries in Europe and the Middle East. This renowned award honours the Sommer Corporate Media for its printing performance.
“This calendar captivates by its wonderful realisation of photography into print”, as the jury in its official report commented, “that all in all it was a wonderful calendar producing an ‘I would love to have’ effect.”
As part of the annual competition the world’s biggest paper maker Sappi honours the best printing companies from Europe and the Middle East. Around 300 guests from the industry were invited. This year the event was held in Prague.
Since 1989 René Staud has been dedicated to the artistic photographic staging of the legendary SL series.
René Staud demands the highest quality for each of his photographic compositions. Since the very beginning perfect craftsmanship and the attention to detail are reflected in the printing of this fourteen page calendar.
