Auf Einladung von Cindy Tai lernte ich Prof. Xiao Hui Wang kennen. In ihrem Atelier in Shanghai steht die Welt für einen Studienplatz Schlange. Welche Ehre für mich von ihr persönlich gleich einen ganzen Abend gewidmet zu bekommen. Fachthemen gab es genug, die Arbeiten von Prof. Wang kenne ich unter anderem von den Art Masters in St. Moritz. So entwickelte sich ein angeregter Gedankenaustausch, auch zu meinem Projekt Aston Martin Art.
Was für ein Zufall, gerade während unseres Shootings in Shanghai fand die feierliche Eröffnung des derzeit höchsten Gebäudes in China statt. Mit 492 Meter und einem Skywalk auf 474 Meter ist das Shanghai World Financial Center die absolute Attraktion.
With an invitation from Cindy Tai I got to meet Professor Xiao Hui Wang. The world queued up to get a study place at her studio. It was such a personal honour for me because a whole evening was dedicated to us. There was plenty of shop talk about. I had already got to know Professor Wang’s work amongst all the others from the Art Masters meeting in St. Moritz. Moreover, there was an exciting exchange of ideas, including my project Aston Martin Art.
What a coincidence that just when we were shooting in Shanghai, the opening of China’s highest building - Shanghai World Financial Center - took place. It’s an absolutely fabulous attraction with its 492 metres and a 474 metres skywalk.
